Currently, less than3% of all philanthropic giving goes to defending ourplanet. Given this limited support, it’s no surprise thatroughly only 2% of our oceans and 12% of our landsare formally protected from invasive human activitylike commercial fishing, agriculture, logging andenergy extraction. Again 3% of all philanthropic givinggoes towards the protection of our ONLY home, planetearth.156 2016 JUNE
